CK getting $473K from OLG for casino payment

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is receiving another big cheque from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

Every three months, OLG pays the municipality for hosting Cascades Casino Chatham.

This latest payment comes out to just over $473,000.

This was just under OLG's previous payment of nearly $474,000, handed out after the first three months of its fiscal year.

"OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement provides Chatham-Kent with a share of local casino revenue to invest in and enhance our community,” said Trevor Jones, Member of Provincial Parliament for Chatham-Kent-Leamington. "Gaming facilities generate economic activity, support local jobs and investment, and provide revenue that helps fund priorities that are important to the people of Ontario."

Since 2001, the municipality has received over $22 million from OLG.
