Drug trafficking charges have been laid against a man and a woman following a drug bust in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they searched a home on Wellington Street East in Chatham on Thursday as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl with an estimated street value of approximately $13,500.
They also confiscated digital scales, drug packaging materials, cell phones, and a significant quantity of Canadian cash.
A 43-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Chatham, have been charged with possession of illegal drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
"The Chatham-Kent Police Service remains committed to addressing the trafficking of illegal drugs in our community and encourages residents to report suspicious activity to police," police said.
