Chatham woman charged with assaulting, resisting police
A 25-year-old Chatham woman was arrested following a confrontation with a police officer.
Chatham-Kent police said that an officer was on patrol on Pine Street just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday when they were approached by a woman.
According to police, the woman was agitated at the time and that she hit the officer in the chest.
Officials added that she was injured during her arrest and that she was taken to hospital for an assessment.
The woman faces charges, including assault of a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

CK man faces charges after a vehicle was damaged
Chatham-Kent police arrested a 33-year-old man after getting a mischief complaint.
The complaint was made just after 3 p.m. on Monday.
Police were told that a man was seen getting into a vehicle and cutting the soft top roof with a knife. When officers arrived at the Wellington Street location, the man was reportedly still inside the vehicle.
He faces charges of mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a release order.
