A yellow wind warning is in effect for Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Windsor Essex.
Environment Canada said strong southwest winds up to 90 kilometres an hour are expected with the passage of a cold front Monday.
Winds will shift to the west and ease slightly by the afternoon, but westerly winds gusting up to 70km/h will continue into Tuesday morning.
The national weather agency said local power outages are possible, as well as damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters.
Environment Canada said yellow alerts are the most common and indicates impacts are moderate, localized and/or short-term.
