Chatham-Kent's public school board wants to give future kindergarteners a sneak peek at what they can expect at school.
The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is inviting families to attend the upcoming Kindergarten Open Houses this spring.
"Kindergarten is one of the most important transitions in a child's life, and we want families to feel supported every step of the way," said Ben Hazzard, LKDSB Superintendent of Education. "Our Open Houses are about much more than registration - they're about building relationships, helping children feel at home, and welcoming families into the LKDSB community."
The open houses will take place on Wednesday, April 1 and Wednesday, May 27, though times vary depending on the school.
The events allow kids to explore classrooms and meet their potential teachers before they officially start school. Parents and guardians are also welcome to join, so they can connect with educators and ask any questions about school programs.
Families are encouraged to register online in advance, but are also able to register at the event. You can find your school or begin registration here.
