LaSalle Town Council has approved a change in the route for this year's LaSalle Strawberry Festival Parade.
Construction along Front Road has forced the town to relocate the parade, planned for Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m.
The parade will start at the corner of Judy Recker Crescent and Mike Raymond Drive. The procession will turn left onto Diotte Drive and then right onto Laurier Parkway. It will continue through the roundabout back to Judy Recker Crescent and will end near Legacy Oak Trail Public School.
During the parade, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., there will be road closures along Laurier Parkway between Malden Road and Disputed Road.
Parade-goers are encouraged to park before 9:30 a.m., and parking is available at the Vollmer Recreation Complex in lots 1, 4, and 7.
This year's LaSalle Strawberry Festival opens on Thursday, June 11, at 6 p.m. and wraps up on Sunday, June 14, at 4 p.m.
