Two men have been arrested after a string of break-ins over the course of a week earlier this month.
The Windsor Police Service reports around 4 a.m. on May 9, three suspects broke into a storage locker on Dougall Avenue. Small appliances valued at more than $2,000 were stolen.
The next night, between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m., businesses on Pillette Road and Dougall Avenue were targeted. More than $7,000 of meat-processing equipment was stolen.
Just before 2:30 a.m. on May 12, police say the same suspects broke into a business on 4th Street to gain access to an adjacent property, where a cube van was stolen.
Three days after that, the suspects were back Dougall Avenue where tools and alcohol were stolen.
Later that day, officers found a vehicle connected to the break-ins on Park Street. Two suspects who were inside the car were arrested.
Police say a further investigation allowed officers to link the suspects to several other commercial break-ins throughout Windsor.
The 43-year-old and 37-year-old are both facing multiple counts of break-and-enter, possession of stolen property, theft, property damage, and wearing a facemask to commit an offence.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Target Base Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4350.
