Suspect sought in Northgate Plaza break and enter

Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers is appealing for information about a break and enter at the Northgate Plaza in the early morning hours of July 31.

The incident was recently featured as the organization's Crime of the Week.

Just after 1:40 a.m., city police officers were called to the business and found the front glass door had been smashed.

Police contained the area, and the K9 Unit was unable to locate the suspect after a search.

Surveillance footage showed a man arriving in the area at 1:30 a.m., walking around the perimeter of the building, and using what appeared to be a small sledgehammer to smash the front entrance door.

When he noticed the cash drawers were empty, the suspect left eastbound on a bright orange bicycle.

He's described as being White, over six feet tall, wearing a maroon hooded sweater with the hood pulled up, black sunglasses, a face mask, black shorts, black shoes, and bright orange gloves.
