Sarnia Sting defenceman Kaden Aucoin is among 27 Canadian Hockey League (CHL) players invited to Canada’s Under-18 Summer Team training camp for the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The camp runs from July 27 to August 1 in Edmonton, Alberta where the tournament will be held.
It will include practices and a game against Sweden on July 30, followed by a pre-tournament matchup against Czechia on August 1 before Canada’s final roster is named.
Aucoin, 16, registered two goals and seven points across 61 regular season games in his rookie year with the Sting.
The roster also includes three players who were selected first overall in their respective CHL league drafts.
Landon DuPont and Maddox Schultz were the first-overall selections in the 2024 and 2025 Western Hockey League Prospects Drafts, respectively, while Alexis Joseph was chosen first overall by Saint John in the 2025 Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League Entry Draft.
Other Ontario Hockey League players in the mix include Peter Green (Brampton), Matt Henderson (Kingston), Cooper McAslan (London), Brock Chitaroni (Ottawa), Ryerson Edgar (Niagara), Aleks Kulemin (Kingston), Charlie Murata (Flint), Camryn Warren (North Bay), and Jaakko Wycisk (Guelph).
Canada will open the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup against Switzerland on August 3.
