A Sarnia man is in custody after officers discovered over $20,000 worth of cocaine and a prohibited weapon, disguised as an everyday household item, while executing a search warrant on Thursday.
Just before 4:30 p.m., members of the Sarnia Police Service Drug Unit, supported by the Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, entered a residence on Russell Street South, in the area of Confederation and Campbell Streets.
Officers seized approximately 205 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $20,517.
Close to $745 in Canadian currency, alongside various items consistent with drug trafficking paraphernalia, was also confiscated.
During the arrest, police discovered a conducted energy weapon (commonly known as a taser), that had been manufactured to closely resemble a flashlight.
