The Mooretown Junior Flags have hired Kevin Devine as their new general manager and head coach.
Devine takes over the GM role from John Baker who retired after 12 years in the position. Former Head Coach Mark Davis and Assistant Jeff Perry have also stepped aside.
The Flags said Devine is a High Performance 1 (HP1) certified coach.
He brings 30 years of coaching experience at various levels in Point Edward and Sarnia Minor Hockey as well as Lambton AAA program from 2013 to 2023 with various bantam and midget teams culminating in 2023 with the U18 program.
Devine has served in coaching and management roles with junior teams in Sarnia and Petrolia beginning in 2000 to 2004 returning again to Sarnia in 2024.
Devine served as an associate coach with the Sarnia Legionnaires during the 2024-25 season.
He also briefly served as the club's general manager.
The team said Mark Phillips will be joining Devine as part of his bench staff. Further additions to the staff will be announced at a future date.
