A number of paramedics from Bruce County have been named recipients of a set of prestigious provincial awards.
At the Bruce County Council meeting on November 5, fifteen members of the Bruce County Paramedic Services team received Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program Awards.
The Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program, administered through the London Health Sciences Centre, provides medical oversight and quality assurance for paramedic services across the region. Each year, the program recognizes exceptional achievements through awards that celebrate excellence in prehospital care.
Six Bruce County primary care paramedics were given the Prehospital Cardiac Save Awards, another seven received Prehospital Newborn Delivery Award, four more received the received the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal, and another four were given the 2026 Medical Director’s Commendation Award.

The Prehospital Cardiac Save Awards, which honour paramedics who played a role in saving a person's life.
