The Grey Bruce OPP is seeking help locating a Southgate tractor that was stolen sometime in July.
Officers received a report of a stolen tractor from a property located on Southgate Road 10 near Southgate Sideroad 19 on August 2.
According to police, the tractor is believed to have been taken sometime between July 11 and August 1. It is described as a light green Deutz DX110 tractor, believed to be a 1983-1986 model.
Anyone who has information regarding this theft, has observed the tractor, or has knowledge of its whereabouts is asked to contact the Grey Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
OPP also reminds residents, particularly those in rural communities, that they can take steps to protect farm equipment and other valuable property by storing it in secured buildings whenever possible, removing keys and locking it when not in use and considering the use of GPS tracking devices and security cameras.
"Having accurate records and identifiable features on valuable equipment can greatly assist police investigations and increase the likelihood of recovering stolen property," read a media release from Grey Bruce OPP.
