Minto residents invited to learn more about proposed wind development

Minto residents will have an opportunity Thursday to learn more about a proposed wind energy development in the municipality.

Prowind Inc. is hosting a community information meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. on August 6 at the Harriston Community Centre.

The company says the meeting will provide information about the proposed development, how renewable energy projects operate and the potential benefits for host communities.

"This is an opportunity to ask questions, hear directly from the project team, and learn more about the proposal before any decisions are made," Prowind said in a Facebook post.

Residents who cannot attend can submit questions, comments or concerns through an online form shared by the company.

Prowind says submitted questions will be addressed during the meeting, with responses also posted online afterward.

"We value respectful dialogue and look forward to having an open conversation about the future of energy in our communities," the company said.

The announcement does not provide details about the potential size, location or number of turbines associated with the proposed project.
