Final chance for feedback on new Kincardine playground

The Municipality of Kincardine is asking for one last round of feedback on the updated MacPherson Park Inclusive Playground project, before construction begins at the end of the summer.

The playground redevelopment has been in the works since 2024. The Municipality has budgeted $400,000 for the project, with Canadian Tire's JumpStart program offering another $350,000.

The municipality originally sought public feedback on the design at the start of the year. Now, their website offers a full concept rendering of the proposed playground layout, highlighting accessible play features, shade elements, and surrounding landscaping.

Construction is currently scheduled to begin in September, but before that begins, another survey has been issued so the design can be "fine-tuned."

Residents and park users are invited to review the updated design and complete the short survey, which includes questions related to the overall layout, shade options, and surrounding park features.

The municipality says the design remains within the current playground footprint at and the lower portion of the park will remain unchanged.

The survey will remain open until May 26.
