United Way Perth Huron seeks volunteers for Board of Directors

United Way Perth Huron (UWPH) is asking for volunteers to join its Board of Directors.

A media release from UWPH shares that the organization is committed to building a board that reflects the communities that it serves.

UWPH is looking to include a "broader range of perspectives" including: people living and/or working in Huron County, people living and/or working in Perth County outside of Stratford, Black or racialized individuals, Indigenous peoples, individuals who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, and people with lived experience of homelessness or being under housed.

Experience in areas such as labour, agriculture, legal and finance is also an asset. The board helps ensure that United Way achieves its srategic plan and initiatives. Board members help guide the organization’s long-term direction and vision, monitor progress on strategic priorities, oversee the organization’s financial health, identify and help mitigate risks, and ensure action is taken on UWPH’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
