Going out for a night of laughs will help care for animals in need in Stratford, Perth County, Kitchener, and Waterloo.
The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth will be hosting Paws for Laughs on March 8 and 9. The two-night comedy show will be headlined by comedian and actor Drew Lynch. He has amassed millions of followers since finishing second on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent and releasing the comedy special "And These Are Jokes".
"We are thrilled to be hosting our Paws for Laughs comedy show fundraiser this March,” said Humane Society Manager of Events and Partnerships Victor Dinh. “It’s a great way to support the animals in our care. And all you have to do is sit back, laugh, and enjoy the evening.”
The first show on March 8 will be held at the Hampton Inn and Suites at 55 Benjamin Rd. in Waterloo, while the second show goes March 9 at the Stratford Golf and Country Club at 53 Romeo St. in Stratford. Both shows are presented by Clean and Tidy.
“Being involved with Paws for Laughs was a no brainer,” said Clean and Tidy CEO Shelby Behling. “Not only do I get the opportunity to give back to those who cannot speak for themselves, but I get to partake in an event that puts a smile on people's faces. It is a win-win in my books.”
General admission tickets for the shows are $80 and can be purchased online at kwsphumane.ca. Premium tickets for $110 and VIP tickets for $150 are also available.
