Three people are facing charges following a drug investigation in Huron East that led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, and other drugs.
The Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crimes Unit says the investigation led officers to a residence on Main Street South in Seaforth. Officers from the Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, West Region K-9 Unit, and Huron OPP detachment assisted.
Police say the investigation took a significant step forward on February 10, 2025, when officers conducted a traffic stop in Huron East. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and drug-related offences, and the passenger was taken into custody on drug-related charges. That stop led to the execution of a related search warrant at a Seaforth address.
Officers seized quantities of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, psilocybin, and Adderall, with an estimated street value of $2,720. Police also seized offence-related items including digital scales, drug packaging materials, and a cellular phone, valued at approximately $2,250.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old from Huron East is charged with possession of cocaine. They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court in Goderich on March 9.
A 34-year-old from Huron East faces multiple charges, including possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of a Schedule III substance. They were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody, with a future court date in Goderich.
A 22-year-old from West Perth is charged with impaired operation, as well as possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. They were also released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court in Goderich on March 9.
Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact Huron OPP or Crime Stoppers.
