UPDATE: Environment Canada ends rainfall alert for CK

A yellow rainfall warning has ended for Chatham-Kent (CK).

The alert was in place Sunday afternoon, while the local conservation authority advised of possible flooding.

According to the conservation authority, the rain may cause areas of standing water, ponding, and localized flooding are possible near the watershed. The message adds that small watercourses, ditches, and streams will most likely rise, which could lead to them spilling onto their banks.

The LTVCA reminds people to take extra caution and to avoid waterways that are running high.
