Four new Family Medicine Residents calling CKHA home

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has welcomed four new Family Medicine Residents who are completing their post-graduate training.

The new additions include Dr. Sanya Sharar, Dr. Neelesh Taticherala, Dr. Amanjot Kaur, and Dr. Murad Mun.

According to the CKHA, the doctors will gain experience by working with local physicians and its health care team to complete the clinical portion of their medical training.

Dr. Sharar moved to Canada after getting her medical degree in Bangladesh. She's hoping to work in a family medicine practice after completing her residency.

Dr. Taticherala is looking forward to furthering his experience to make him a more skilled family doctor. He first completed his medical school in China, before working in rural India as a general practitioner, and continued his training in Internal Medicine in Germany.

Dr. Kaur is also focused on family medicine, while prioritizing women's health, emergency medicine, and mental health. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in India and has since completed postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

According to CKHA, Kaur is interested in working in Chatham-Kent after she completes her residency.

Dr. Mun served as a Resident Medical Officer at a tertiary care hospital after completing medical school in Bangladesh. He is passionate about advocating for patients in the community and is hoping to practice Family Medicine.

CKHA will host the doctors for two years while they complete their residencies.
