The yellow alert explained that Sarnia and Windsor could see up to 90-kilometre-an-hour winds and heavy rain, possibly exceeding 50 millimetres, due to a line of thunderstorms between Chatham and St. Thomas.
Environment Canada reminds people to take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches.
The warning was put into effect around 12 p.m. on Sunday.
