Wide receiver from Chatham makes CFL practice squad

Ethan Jordan's dream of playing professional football is one step closer to becoming a reality.

The wide receiver from Chatham was added to the Ottawa Redblacks practice roster.

The 23-year-old caught two passes for 37 yards in the Redblacks 27-3 pre-season win over the Montreal Alouettes on Friday, May 29.

Ottawa opens the CFL regular season on Saturday, June 6 when they host the Edmonton Elks.

Jordan just wrapped up a historic university career with the Laurier Golden Hawks, winning the U SPORTS Hec Creighton Trophy, the he Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Most Valuable Player, and the President's Award from Laurier.
