A brand of a movable baby gate is the subject of a recall due to the risk of injury to a child.
The Vevor Retractable Baby Gate has been recalled, according to Health Canada's official website.
"Vevor is recalling this product because the recalled gates violate the mandatory standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures, and a child's torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor, posing a risk of serious injury due to entrapment," read the recall notice from the company.
The gates are sold in grey, white, and black, with the model numbers YJ-3355, YJ-3371, and YJ-33110.
"The company reported that 1,660 units of the affected products were sold in Canada," Health Canada said. "The affected products were sold from November 2023 to March 2026."
If you have one of the affected gates, stop using it immediately.
Vevor recommends destroying the gate by cutting through the mesh, then sending a photo to recalling@vevor.com.
