Tours now offered at CKHA's Women and Children's Unit in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is introducing in-person tours of the Women and Children's Unit at the Chatham hospital for expecting parents.

CKHA said the tours will provide a supportive and informative experience for families preparing for childbirth.

The tours will be led by CKHA volunteers and will offer a chance for parents to become familiar with the unit's layout, services, and amenities before their delivery date.

According to hospital officials, this initiative aims to help ease any anxiety and provide a sense of comfort and readiness.

“Tours of our Women & Children’s Unit is an important step in supporting families as they prepare for one of the most meaningful moments of their lives,” said Fannie Vavoulis, Director, Patient Experience and Communications. “Partnering with our dedicated volunteers allows us to offer a welcoming, personal experience that reflects CKHA’s purpose, Our Focus is You.”
