Driving charges laid after car crashes into shed
A 37-year-old Blenheim man is facing impaired driving and dangerous driving charges following a crash over the weekend.
According to police, residents of a home on Donais Line in Tilbury were awakened just before 7 a.m. on Sunday after hearing a loud crash.
It was determined that a car had left the roadway and crashed through a fence and into a large shed on the property. Damages are estimated at more than $40,000.
Only minor injuries were reported.
Investigators said that the homeowner stopped two of the three occupants of the vehicle from leaving the scene before police arrived.
The driver was arrested and charged. He faces a January 13 court date.

Wanted woman facing new charges
Chatham-Kent police discovered after arresting a 38-year-old that she was already wanted in several other jurisdictions.
The woman's new charges are for theft, after an incident at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Investigators said that the woman was witnessed leaving a store with unpaid items just before 5 p.m. on Sunday.
She was found by police nearby and placed under arrest. She was taken to police headquarters where she was held pending a bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man arrested following domestic disturbance
A 44-year-old man has been arrested following a disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Police said the incident happened at 1:11 a.m. on Monday at a Margaret Street address.
When officers arrived, they determined that the man had court orders banning him from going to the address or being around the woman who lived there.
The man was taken to police headquarters where he was held for bail.
According to police, the man was also wanted for failing to show up to court on a separate charge.
